Looking For Creative Writers for our E-commerce network and service. We are a young group of internet marketers and ecommerce sellers fully based online. We are looking for open-minded and creative writers to work with us on a freelance or hourly basis to start.

Our company is registered in Hong Kong, but we have our managers working in Thailand, Philippines, China, and sometimes in New York and Canada. While the location varies, the distance matters less as we are all working online and utilizing the tools needed to do that.

Before we talk about the job details, we want to make sure you agree and understand that using online project management and communication tools is completely necessary to succeed. We hope you have experience in Slack, time tracking tools, project management systems such as Asana, and Google docs and drive (we even use Google cloud too). If you have used these tools before, please let us know.

What does Shadstone do?

Essentially we are a content creation company for E-commerce businesses. On top of client work, we also have a few of our own E-commerce companies and websites, but this job will work more with clients that ask us to help them make content for their websites, Amazon businesses, or other E-commerce stores.

What do we need from you?

We are looking for creative writers. We are fully remote which means you need to work effectively online (although we hope to all meet in person regularly as we grow and get to know each other more).
We will provide you with:

• The company website / product information (depending if it is a blog or a product listing)
• The keywords to focus on
• The tone / theme of this company brand / culture

We hope that within 2 to 3 days, we can have you provide a finished version inside the Google docs account your Shadstone email grants you. You will then submit it to our editors to review.

Our goal is to pay per article, but we are also focusing on quality over quantity. We want well-researched and referenced articles to support the website.

What are we looking for?

We would love experienced writers who love writing for various fields and industries. The candidate must be a lifelong learner that has a positive attitude. We also do all our work online, so working independently is critical. We chat in Slack to communicate with the team, but you should also be able to search our wiki (handbook) for answers. If you can’t find it, research is the key. Getting the answers is the best way to long-term success in the company.

When you are applying, please give us some samples of your writing. Also, let us know what kind of topics you prefer. If you have worked in E-commerce before, that is a big plus especially in Amazon FBA listings. Please let us know about this when you apply.

What are we offering?

We are expanding rapidly in content creation for E-commerce and are looking for people who are looking to be long-term managers and leaders in these departments. Right now we are filling a freelance part-time position, but we do hope you can develop your skills and grow with the company as a manager in the future.

For now, the goal is to pay per article or per hour, with about 10 to 20 hours per week expected capacity. This may grow to full-time very soon.
